Ferguson Memorial Baptist Church was established 84 years ago. The church is located in the mostly African-American community of West Dunbar in Kanawha County, West Virginia. With several ministries within and outside our walls, we are continually striving to meet the unmet needs of our community. We subscribe to the view that ministry means meeting needs!

We take very seriously the Great Commission...Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Matthew 28:19-20. We strive not only to win souls for Christ, but also to empower and encourage present and potential members to actively participate in ministry under the flow of the anointing.

The Right Reverend E. Alphonso Heyliger is the Senior Pastor of Ferguson and he has served in this capacity for the past twenty seven years.
